I agree with those (one I haven't seen), and mentioned Days of Heaven myself. Now I'd like to see it again.

Hmmm. Giant..

GIANT? You mean that old movie with Rock Hudson and Liz Taylor? Heck, I think you are right. When the Texans struck oil and were all-of-a-sudden rich?

I think I agree with you. I don't think I understood much about Texas until I saw that movie.

And I think Goodby Columbus has that spirit. I think it came out in the 1960s.

Osso, have you seen the new version of True Grit? Just loved that movie, we saw it few days ago. It's much improved over the old one with John Wayne. Would like to see it again.

I DENY that and I challenge u to prove that.

That is easy to prove. We are the descendants of the creatures that "came out of the trees". The traits we have we inherited from them, some of them adapted by evolution.

If greed were natural, then it would be part of human nature. If our ancestors evolved with greed, this would mean you would see humans acting with greed today.

QED.

Greed is common, but not natural... What is natural comes out of our navel connection to our mothers, and as morality is natural, family, and society being impossible without it; Greed is not natural, and is altogether immoral... What is good is also moral, and what is moral is healthy and good for society and good for people... Only the conception of mankind so foreign to our ancestors of being made up of distinct individual could account for the notion of greed as good... There is no objective proof for mankind individualized, or for greed as a virtue; but both ideas grew up together and should die a common death...

@djjd62,
That's funny. When I read David's post I assumed it was a glib joke against the overweight population of the US. I guess in retrospect, a sincere nomination of the 1965 film might be the straight answer that does fit David's personality.
