I just recently started creating Flowcharts with Microsoft Excel. My reasons being: I already have Excel so it's "free". Anyway, I'm having one problem that's severely impeding my progress though. When I have to move multiple elements of the flow chart around I have to click on them all by holding down the shift key and click, click, clicking like 100 times! Is there any way to rubber band select? Of course I know how to select all, but if I just want half of the elements select all doesn't help at all. Does anyone have a suggestion either of a way to solve this problem or another free flow charting program to use?
@MrIVI,
Thanks for the tip - I haven't done flow charts in Excel before. Good to know there's an option.
@MrIVI,
If you have Excel 2007, you can group objects and manipulate them as if they were one.
Here's how to find the help info on it using Excel's Help:
Press F1 to open the Help files. Do a search on the word Group. It will produce a series of articles called Group or ungroup shapes, pictures, or other objects in Excel 2007.
@Butrflynet,
In case you need it, they also have extensive help on creating flow charts. Just search flow charts in the Help file.
