headline - Italy Arrests 6 Morrocans For Hate Campaign Against Pope Benedict XVI
I don't get what is an arrest matter here.
I think it sucked that they baptized the fellow in St. Peter's Square, like a caught fish, but it seems he liked that.
Is free speech in Italy dead?
When ex and I were at the Siena train station at something like 5:30 in the morning, an american couple sat on one side of us, and some moroccan guys on the other. I started talking with the moroccans in halting italian on my side mixed with english and halting english/halting italian on theirs. The woman to my left started warning me loudly about these guys, which I ignored. No harm came to me except perhaps too much caffeine too early.
I have an admissible bias, I don't like Pope Benedict, aka Ratzinger, at all. But I don't dismiss all popes all the time.
