Crashed cars move to outside lanes

And most of our mountain highways have cutoffs for runaway vehicles. Like on the down grade coming off Wolf Creek Pass. I really, really don't ever want to find out what lies at the end of those cutoffs. Your vehicle just might end up being an aircraft navigational landmark for years to come.

Most of those I have seen are usually loose sand. The vehicle is slowed down by becoming bogged down in the sand.

I've been told that before. I think I would like to check it out before using one, though. Just not sure how to do that.
