Worthy of Debate?

I've also read that "The Night Before Christmas" may very well not have been written by the man it's attributed to. Not sure why it matters--people either love those songs or not--but it makes for good newspaper articles at this time of year, I guess.

D'art, Jingle Bells was never one of my favorites, but we do like to probe the popularity and the "wish I had written that.." stuff. Think of all those royalties.

When I was a kid, my aggressive little friend used to have a harness with bells on it. We would take turns being the horse. I used a string for the whip. She used a switch.

Re the royalty issue: I'm not sure, but if it's at all like copywrite law, don't they end after a while?
