I am in the process of buying a new desk top computer.. can anyone tell me how to transfer my (favorites) list onto the new machine, also my desk top icons? can i save them to the new computer? I hope this is possible as i have so many .. thanks

Yes, it's possible but we need more information.
What OS are you using? What OS is on your new computer?

If you are using Windows and your old computer is running Vista then check out this

If you are using Internet Explorer, look under FILE -> IMPORT AND EXPORT and follow the intructions. If you are using Firefox, use these instructions to create an HTML file that can be used with any browser.

It's not a big issue my dear friend, Generally computer users use data traveler or any type of flash memory to transfer the data from one computer to other.

You can also use the data traveler to transfer your favorites list and desktop icons in new computer...
