Black Books, British sitcom

If you liked Fawty Towers, Father Ted, or Black Adder you'll love this sitcom of a misanthropic book shop owner and his "normal", suffering employee. This sitcom is a laugh-out-loud, absurd show that doesn't make any sense at all. It's not a new show-2001), but is new for American Public Television. Check it out.

Black books is pretty good, mainly because it stars Bill Bailey (Manny). He's a stand up comedian with a difference, as he's also an excellent musician and brings this into his stage act.
I'll try to find a link.

Meanwhile, the best recent UK sitcom by miles (purely my opinion) has to be " Pete versus Life " which seems to have slipped under the Brit public's radar somewhat, maybe because it was screened late due to the language and adult themes that kept popping up.

Once you get into the style of it all, hopefully you'll find it hilarious.
Here's episode one.
