why can we stand the smell of our own farts but not others???

Our senses are deadened to our own smell. Imagine hearing one word for hours and hours. You would tune out that word thus the smell and sound of our body is tuned out. It is the same with mistakes. We don't notice our mistakes thus we don't notice wrong doing either. We think it is normal till someone else sees the mistake or smell odor.
