I suck at these sports

1. Foosball

4. Pool

Should I assume guys from my social group think I am lame?

3 of the 4 games on your list I suck at also.
The only one I am any good at is foosball.

OK, then...

Assuming reasonable eye-hand coordination, the more you practice these games, the better you'll get. However, even if you aren't any good, it's not lame.

If being good at those games (they aren't sports) is what counts as cool to
them, I think the guys in your social group are lame.

The next-to-last place I worked at, there was one group of IT guys who were all about the foozball. If you didn't play well (or at least put good energy into it), you just wouldn't be part of their social group.

On the flip side, who wants to stay in the office an extra 4 or 5 hours a day playing table top games? I'm decent at foozball and pool (made the finals of the last office tournament here), but I can't imagine hanging around the office to play them.

We stayed late at the lab to play chess - not often but sometimes. We also did, once in a while, hang around to do a jigsaw puzzle.
I don't remember any of that as being part of some group - in fact, we were individual women, still are.

I must be the lamest of the global lot as not am I only horrible with options 1, 2, and 4, I have absolutely no idea what carrom is.

Don't worry about it, Vin. I've been taken for a guy pretty routinely, what with the italian food word ending in - o -. (What was I thinking the day I picked that? I just remember that 'pizza' was already taken.) People catch on, if they read enough of your posts. I explain a bit in my profile.
