GOD BLESS OUR CHILDREN

All young girls will leave
The warmth of a loving home
For they must compete
Tho they often walk alone

No one can hide in
A shell of their own
For little girls grow up
And have a tendency to roam

But there is always evil
Hiding in the shadows
Waiting for the unwary
For they do not have no morals
Nothing really matters

They sometimes pray on children
Who by chance may come their way
They have no courage or convictions
There hearts are made of clay

How sad that these humans
Would hurt a simple child
Who would desecrate a life
How cowardly how beguiled

And to those of us who know
That this evil is alive
We must educate our children
To be wary to survive

Screaming is a weapon
They must learn to do it loud
Don=t put your trust in strangers
Try to walk where there are crowds

Each one of us has a sense
Of something that may be wrong
A feeling deep within so be
Wary and be strong

Digger

William, It is obvious that your poem comes from a deep concern. I have two suggestions, however.

first, "they do not have no morals" would read better if you changed it to:

"They have no morals"

Welcome to A2K, William. It does seem that our children are victims to the human raptors, does it not?

William, my friend. It is indeed a pleasure to know you. What wonderful stories you must have to share. Please don't stop with this one poem.

From America to Canada:

Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family.
