Where does the post office deliver your mail?

I live in an apartment block which is a former Victorian town house which is split in 6 flats, so our post is posted in one go - which is really annoying because you have pick it up and do the sorting!

I live in an apartment and any letter that comes, is been collected by our apartment security and it is he who delivers at door. but should it be a courier, then they are permitted in the apartment premises and before they are let, we are given a phone call.
