Yes, I remember that programme. Note the emphasis on "prediction and control" as being the key to the search for "explanation". You only need now to consider ideas like "the positron is an electron
travelling backwards in time" ...an idea conceived by "consciousness"...to realize that the products of consciousness imply that mechanistic causality is too simplistic to "account" for it.
