HFCS stops the pancreas from creating insulin

Damage to insulin levels = the entire DEFINITION of diabetes...

need there be more discussion on it?

i dont CARE how natural someone wants to call it. I dont care if you want to say " it contains fructose which is in fruit too" or what ever media fed lie you want.

Fact is, it stops the pancreas from working. THAT directly affects insulin levels.
Period.

It is astonishing in 2010 how little the "experts" really know about how the body deals with the different sugars put into it, how the body makes sugars, how the cells deal with sugars, how the process breaks down as diabetes, and then how to deal with diabetes. I do know that the story keeps changing, we keep getting "whoops, scratch that, we just found out that..."

I always say that when in doubt go back to what the genetic code was birthed on..in this case that is a low fructose diet, which definitely did not have HFCS in it.

@hawkeye10,
well, using your words..

We CAN eat and we DO eat and both glucose and fructose.

The problem isnt those two as the base.
The problem, and why it is actually shutting down our organs is the chemical processing and combination of other substances to make the so called corn syrup.
We are not meant to eat chemicals like that. They are not natural. You can not make HFCS in your kitchen.
It does not occur in nature.
The steps to make that stuff is above and beyond anything our bodies can handle that is why there is SO much controversy around it.
People want to just point the finger at the amount of "sugars" in it and say it isnt bad for you. The corn industry has done a great job in making the masses believe that the evil is sugars and that sugars are what you need to watch.
And this is not entirely true. it is the TYPES and HOW the body digests it that is the evil.

Yes HFCS is low on sugars and when taken in small doses , is not going to deliver the sugar punch of other things.
But your body can not digest it. It damages the liver, stops insulin production and is stored immediately as fat because your body can not process it .
So even if you are only getting ......for example... 100 calories of HFCS, you are actually ingesting , and your body reacts to and creates fat equivalent to 200 calories..

That is why exercise has to be so strenuous for people to lose weight. Everytime they eat, even so called healthy label foods , they are eating immediate fat storage.
The human body CAN sustain and is able to lose about 5 pounds a week not 1 like you do when you eat stuff like that.

ooohhh..
This is a soap box I can stand on for hours .. I have researched this for 2 years.

I find it very sad that the marketing has convinced people by and large that hfcs is a healthy safe alternative . The same for Saccharine, Splenda and other sweetener chemicals.
Sugar is NOT the weight gain enemy america has. Its the chemicals and chemical processing that is.

@Rockhead,
Well that makes sense - wouldn't the explosive cause the house to go boom and potentially anything nearby?

At the molecular level fructose and glucose are not substitutes. Sugar and HFCS are both poisons. Forget whatever nonsense you learned in those 2 years' "research" and invest 1 1/2 hours to listen to an actual introductory biochemistry lecture on sugars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM

You've been talking to the wrong experts. All glucose molecules are poisons - not just those originating in HFCS. Better watch the lecture as well.

@High Seas,
Correction!

sorry guys, got the molecules inverted: glucose is fine, other sugars aren't wanted to post correction asap will come back with details

apologize
PS HFCS is definitely deadly but so is table sugar
