I'll giving a shot at a series of riddles over the next few days. All help appreciated.
Took up this one today:
If you were to put a coin into an empty bottle and then insert a cork in the bottle's opening, how could you remove the coin without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle?
I sort of think the answer hinges onto the "insert a cork" part. They have inserted the cork "into the opening" and not actually closed the bottle, right? So all I have to do is push the cork in, I believe? Then just shake the bottle until the corn drops or something?
Does anyone know the correct answer to it?
@spidergal,
Too bad I can't edit the first post.
The first sentence should have read:

I hate it when I leave typos in my posts.
".....how could you remove the coin without taking OUT the cork.....?
Once you eliminate the obvious and impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the answer.
Push IN the cork.
Is it legal for a man to marry his widow's sister in Mumbai the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra?
@Tryst,
Well, it should be I believe. Why would they have a problem with that?
@chai2,
Basically, that would mean melt it? What if the cork doesn't melt properly and gets stuck in the opening?
@chai2,
or melt the glass, which is not the same as breaking it, just changing it
@djjd62,
I'm guessing the temperature required to melt the glass would start to melt the coin a bit too.
So if we lose the coin, what's the point of it all?
Q. Is it legal for a man to marry his widow's sister in Mumbai the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra?
A. Well, it should be I believe.
"... marry his widow's sister..."
A. Why would they have a problem with that?
Perhaps because as he left a widow, he would be dead!!!
" Does anyone know the correct answer to it?"
"Push the cork INTO the bottle - then you can tip the coin out"
@Tryagain,
I really thought Tryst was asking a legal question!
Anyway, thanks!

Cork is wood, it would burn.
or, you could pour cork acid on it.
