My father in law was in the REME during WW2 can anyone tell me if a lance corporal on his number one dress uniform had stripes on both arms or just the one.

Many thanks

My father was a Lance Corporal in the camouflage unit of R.E.M.E. during WWII. He was an Eighth Army 'desert rat' serving in North Africa under Montgomery. Unfortunately the pictures I have of him in uniform were taken before his deployment and do not show shoulder patches....only the R.E.M.E.
badge on the left side of his cap with 2 brass buttons in the centre.
Hope this helps.....good luck!
