Your autobiography "From the Life of a Good-for-Nothing", ehem, oops, sorry, Eichendorff's story I wanted to write Embarrassed would look nice in Sütterlin as some poems (especially those for the 'Poesiealbum') as well.

I gaze around me, going
By forest, dale, and lea,
O'er heights where streams are flowing,
My every thought bestowing,
Ah, Lady fair, on thee!

And in my garden, finding
Bright flowers fresh and rare,
While many a wreath I'm binding,
Sweet thoughts therein I'm winding
Of thee, my Lady fair.

We will go to Ikea tomorrow and buy some Swedish Glögg. Hmm, with raisins and almond pieces. My friend and me did the big Glühwein test at our Christmas market here in Balingen two weeks ago. I was sick all Sunday ;-)

walter : you know the story of the hamburg tourist guide telling "tall stories" ? he was taking tourists on a cruise through the harbour and some longshoremen started shouting : "he luecht ! " ("he lies"). some tourists questioned the guide about the shouts (they were uttered in low-german) and his response was : "oh, say said 'er leuchted' " (literally : "he lights" - meaning "he's a bright light". so his reputation remained unblemished. hbg. ... and so does mine !
