What is something that produces offspring that is like themselves that is nonliving??

I cant think o any inanimate (non living) thing that produces offspring.

Do you mean plants? Some plants can produce clones from root suckers or fallen twigs if the conditions are good.

What about crystals? Crystals can grow what appear to be baby crystals.

Bad question. Producing offspring indicates a living thing. Actually, that is one of the measures by which we can categorize living things.

You might want to search the web for the term "self-replicating robot" or "self-replicating machine". Here's the Wikipedia article that comes up on the search, and here's a YouTube video of one.

Yes, but some non-living things have attributes of living things. For example Batteries have a life span, gas produces waste, some say rocks can reproduce by braking in half.
