According to the administration, the reason (this week) for the invasion of Iraq was to prevent suffereing and human rights violations by the Hussein government. The US was assisted by the "Coalition of the Willing, who were prepared to stand up for things we Americans "know" to be right, like truth, freedom, and apple pie, yes? InNreturn for membership, the US paid these governments for their support. Lets taek a quick peek at one of those bastions of freedom and democracy, shall we?

Uzbek torture camps

Certainly this is behaviour we as Americans should support, isn't it? I mean isn't it time we got rid of all that sissy due process stuff and went back to breaking heads? Why, that's what real men call freedom!

The U.S. has a long and rich history of supporting authocratic regimes that brutalize dissenters. Saddam being one of them, of course.

I love the term "Coalition of the Willing." Really, the PR people who work for Bush have to be about the best in the business. "Project Iraqi Freedom" was good, too.
