What exactly is streaming? How do I access something that's streamed?

"Streaming" just means that they start sending the data to you, and you can start the video before the entire file has been sent.

Youtube videos are streamed, for example.

There are links in the article to some streaming media sources. Also, many television networks have streaming media available on their websites. You can also try places like Hulu.

Usually, the viewer you need is built into your browser.
