"Microsoft Certifications has no age limit." Quoted by one of the leading newspapers. But are we really heading towards a successful career in IT. People who have no jobs in the market right now are coming towards IT. They are planning to quit there current occupation. People are aged 28-35y. Are they making a mistake or is it a clever idea. What should they do apart from it or should they concentrate on joining into Databases, Web Development, or .Net technologies. All are invited to give remarks and valuable suggestions.
If they were good at IT they would be in that field already. Only an idiot expects a truck driver or supermarket cashier or coal miner to be able to take a mail order course and get a career in IT.

Lots of people can be retrained to perform the daily tasks necessary to keep a datacenter running. A great deal of it is just interfacing with vendors, making sure contracts are up-to-date, and knowing who to call when something goes wrong.

Well, that's just office admin, and there are plenty of people in the job market with proven track records in that.
