oh yeah
that is a nice oxblood

(Set and I had a bit of a debate about the ones Chai posted. I was not willing to consider those as representing oxblood)

@ehBeth,
Yep. I don't like to argue with Chai, but what she posted was brown. I too like a good oxblood.

I love the line from Silence of the Lambs, delivered to Clarice Starling by Hannibal Lector.

"You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. "

Hey!

I agreed with you re the color.

They are more brown, kind of an understated oxblood, if you will.

Your shoes were more oxbloody.

sorry, just didn't like the tassels.

I just thought this was worth repeating. In fact its so unimportant that it doesnt even rate as supremely unimportant.

Now, if there were shoes for boobs......

@chai2,
In Carbondale, Illinois, there was a glove factory which specialized in women's formal gloves. When Jackie Kennedy began to appear in public at formal events without wearing evening gloves, the market for them plummeted immediately. (I suspect most women thought they were a pain in the ass, anyway.) The Lucky Glove company tanked in a matter of months. It represented a major employment catastrophe for Carbondale, which had about 20,000 inhabitants in 1961.

It is even. Some men like them, some don't and some don't care... The key, to me, is, that there is no unanimous vote....and thus I win and my colleague loses. Hurrah.
