Protect Privacy - Change "Facebook Places" Default Settings

Protect Your Privacy - Facebook Places has launched with global positioning app enabled as default setting.


ATTENTION:

Facebook has launched Facebook Places. Anyone can now find your location while logged into Facebook via a global positioning app. It is TWO STEPS to disable default settings.



Step 1

Go to Account>Account Settings>Notifications> scroll down to PLACES>UNCHECK 2 BOXES. SAVE CHANGES.



Step 2

Go to Privacy Settings, click CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS. Change "Places I check into" to Friends Only or customize. UNCHECK "Include me in People that are here" box.
