Si. Also had the pleasure to visit Don Quiote's "home" town in Spain about six years ago. Actually, it was a rest stop between Costa del Sol and Toledo. c.i.

c.i., was that perchance Cuenca in the province of La Mancha? If so, you will surely have seen the fantastic inn hanging on the cliff face high above a deep gorge. Once, after a few pitchers of sangria, I came rather close to toppling over the railing there.

Not far from Cuenca is the Ciudad Encantada (Enchanted City) dedicated, I suppose, to preserving the finest of the Don's hallucinations.

Cervantes, himself, was from Alcala, about 30 kliks n.e. of Madrid.

Surviving. Made out better than most. The lack of running water was the worst part, but I got water back after two days. Many places still have no running water, and of course no power anywhere. Estimates of power restoration are three months. If we're lucky. Fun times ahead.

Debacle, You're asking too much of this old man to remember that far back in time. La Mancha sounds familiar. I think some of us took some photos with the La Mancha sign. The rest stop had some metal figurines of Don Quiote on sale in the gift shop, and if my memory serves, there was a cart in the yard. c.i.

I used to have running water, but now I don't for two days Twisted Evil

I called the director of the Guam Waterworks Authority and promised death and destruction if water was not restored immediately to our area. I wonder (I know the guy) if he will take me seriously or if I'm going to have to break out my old Marine utilities and formulate a mission. Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil

pueo, You've got to be more careful about using such tactics. He's going to send some guys with white coats, and have you institutionalized! c.i.
