Bought some bottled water from Hawaii to drink.

Find friends who still have water running to fill up some 5 gallon containers I have to use for other things.

Water is slowly trickling from the faucets so I guess they have fixed the pump that brings water to my area. Just needs to build up pressure. Have to boil the water to consume, and the island seems to be short or out of butane for small portable stoves. The military is being asked to bring in a supply by plane. Luckily I have several canisters left, won't need anymore until early next year.

Well, I guess I'll put my Marine stuff away, and wash this camoflauge grease off. Very Happy

Personally, I'd have stayed with the beer ... as a matter of fact, I have.

There is an hilarious recording of W.C. Fields, when he is asked to drink a glass of water . . . his comment, of course, is that fish f*** in it . . .

Such a wonderful quote as it is - but I have always felt that "spawn" is the more accurate term. Of course, as far as the effects of said generative activity upon the water, spawning would leave far more by-products, as it were, but Fields' expression seems far more worrying, doesn't it?

Or is that just I?

pueo, The method I used with staff was to ask them what they thought the correct answer is. In accounting, posting of transactions can be very flexible. If they were close enough, I would tell them they were correct, and offer some other options they could use. It minimized conflict, and they always knew they could depend on me to give them other ways to do the same thing. Wink c.i.

Pueo, you've trained your staff well ... they don't have to worry about down-sizing:)
