When Bloomberg made his comments about this about two weeks ago, I totally agreed. This is a no-brainer and a non-issue. The mosque is not even on Ground Zero, you won't even see it from Ground Zero, and we have this religious freedom thing here in America. I figured the controversy would just drop after a while and fall off the radar. It was a non-issue so I didn't even give it much thought after that.
Then our president decided to weigh in. Now it is a goddammed issue! What's wrong with this guy? Does he have to make a comment about every idiotic issue that comes along? It reminds me of the beer summit debacle. Now everyone has an opinion and the angry mob is going to shout down all sanity until they get what they want. So I might as well be on the winning side, when it happens.
So now I say, Screw Obama, screw Islam, and screw the constitution! Obama shouldn't have let this become the big phony debate that it now is, and Jesus is way cooler than Muhammed anyway! So screw everyone! No mosque at (I mean near) ground zero! Give the stupid people what they want!
I am okay with the mosque, if only because it would be so close to the Freedom Tower that a plane taking off from the mosque would not have enough room to achieve the speed necessary to significantly impact the tower when crashing into it.

The goddes Kali is soooo much cooler than either of those fags.
She's blue, has a bunch of arms and wears lots of severed heads as a necklace.
Beat that.
@chai2,
I can't beat that. I'd bang her. As long as she wouldn't cut my head off...aw, screw it, I'd do her anyways. The eight arms are so hot! I wonder if she has more than one vagina too.

geez, she could fan your sweaty balls with 7 hands and still jerk you off
@djjd62,
Good idea! Man, now that's the kinda broad I could settle down with.
@kickycan,
You had me worried.. when I read the title
but I'm over it.
be at peace, kick.
The filberts will produce nuts.
No, I mean, fear will engender hatred.
How ya doing, kiddo?
Oh, wait, hatred will engender fear.
@ossobuco,
I'm doing fine, Osso! How are you? Yes, I started this thread in frustration after my born again Christian mother asked me the other night what I thought about the mosque. I felt so sad after having that argument. Politics in this country is so cluttered and confused with mis- and disinformation that I sometimes think we are just too far gone.
@kickycan,
I do too. It's like we are a mere sliver of peperoncini in a salami sandwich.
@ossobuco,
Yeah, like we just don't fit in, but yet, we'd be so damn good in another sandwich, you know?
@kickycan,
Definitely, but there are all these flies.
kicky, By being on the winning "team," you'll lose your wisdom.
@kickycan,
I guess the President could resolve this sitting down with the Mosque crowd and having a .....??? What would the President sit down and drink with the Mosque crowd?
@Linkat,
Shirley Temples, of coarse!
It seems to me that we have now made a plethora of "Ground Zeroes" around mosques. Maybe one little cultural center won't hurt.

The Blood of the Infidels!!!!
@kickycan,
What is that, a bloody mary?
@ossobuco,
no, that's a different drink. I think this one is made with two parts grapefruit juice, one part recently-spilled infidel blood, and a splash of cranberry juice. I hear it tastes like Muhammed's asshole, but the terrorists seem to like it.
Oh, and don't forget the little paper umbrella.
@kickycan,
G'help us, this might become popular.
