Autorun.inf and screensaver viruses on F: drive

hello all,
my problem is when i plug in to any of my usb ports on my computer the files on whatever (my camera, usb drive, or memory card) all get hidden and shortcut folders appear with 1Gb in them and some screensaver files that are viruses appear with the shortcut folders. i cannot open the shortcut folders or delete the screensaver folders. i have read on the autorun.inf virus. i have tried to go into the F: drive with the command prompt and do the attrib -r -a -s -h *.* thing and when i try to delete the bad files it says the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. if i go to my computer, and right click the screensaver file and try to delete it, it says access denied make sure the disk is not full or write protected or not currently in use. any help on how else to get rid of this???

@abe froman,
Just to be sure that you typed it correctly.

* Click on "Start" -->Run-->type cmd and click on OK.
* Enter this command.
* attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*

Have you run virus software on your computer?

@abe froman,
Sorry, I hope you did not copy and paste the * at the front.

attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*

Those are malware finding programs. You should really have a virus checker onboard as well.

Using your computer on the Internet without an anti-virus application giving you realtime protection is much like having casual sex without a condom. There are several free, and effective, AVs available that are easy to use.

@abe froman,
If you can't delete them when windows is open it means windows is using the files.

You probably need to restart your computer in safe mode with command prompt
