I have an Agfa Snapscan e25 that I bought in 2001. I have just tried to install it on my new laptop with Windows XP and it didn't work. When I try to open it a window pops up sating "connect scanner" which is connected. The CD to install the scanner is for Windows 98/2000/Me. Do I need a new cd for XP or what?

It looks like the same driver may be used for XP as is for ME/2000 but you can download the latest/greatest driver from their corporate WWW site at:

Thanks, my scanner is working now but I had to pass a popup window that said my scanner hadn't passed some microsoft test and the installation could now or in the future blow my new laptop to smitherines.
