I'm kind of sad I was never aware of this stuff in the 90s - I just thought it all died by the mid 80s and no-one bothered any more

A Columbian guy with a clear affection for mid 70s Pink Floyd

I'd never heard of Nils Petter Molvaer till today - now I'm madly trying to hunt down his catalogue something very appealing in this stuff (don't expect a a jaunty number)

Lots more to check out here: http://www.youtube.com/results?q=Nils+Petter+Molvær

Delightful happysad track that I found on Yahoo Answers - (someone looking for more of the same) might just be my favourite new track right now

Snow Buildings is the most evocative name - really resonates with what they do.

I've got a bit of their stuff, some of it's a bit too 'music concrete' for my tastes but other stuff is, well, like this.

I have this thing for westernised middle eastern stuff - as long as it's only a little westernised (Dead Can Dance over Vas)

I guess Nick Cave could be thought of as a cult star, if so Louis Tillett is the cult star's cult star

On Yahoo Answers a guy was asking about a slow song by a woman with the word 'Rosary' in it a few times. Put on my cybrarian hat and found this. Don't know if it's what he wanted but it's pretty cool! Would never have heard of her if he hadn't asked the question.

Never heard this version before. Chill. It came up on random and I'm thinking, those lyrics sound familiar....

Some old Not Drowning Waving I heard for the first time while doing a 20k walk through the burbs of Cairns last night.

Never heard this version of Van Morrison with Them doing 'It's All Over Now Baby Blue'. I really love his version.

Something I hadn't heard before from Phil Glass - I'm imagining myself curled up on the lounge in front of a fire with a brandy balloon of Benedectine.
