Came up on random in the car today - never heard of them. Ocoai are from East Tennessee and this track seems to mine the undulating landscape between late 70s Pink Floyd and Joe Satriani without the dubious excesses of either.
Really, really like.

Don't know how this got into my download folder but I'm glad it did

A deadspin video brought this band to my attention ... how have I not ever heard of them before??? They're terrific!
Here's the link to the deadspin video (since it's not on youtube):
I can hear so many influences in this that I can't define any of them. Sort of like 'copying one source is plagiarism, copying many is research'. Like it.

Feeling bad I haven't posted hear/here for a while. Hope you like this one. Sort of a more commercial Alela Diane - sort of folky, indie, arty sumpin.

@hingehead,
Craziest, most magnificent tour de force by Jeff Mangum - mysterious wunderkind of Neutral Milk Hotel circa Athens. GA 1975ish.
This is his love song to Anne Frank. It gets weird.
Good stuff you guys. I treasure this thread though I don't submit much.
The internet has revealed so much talent that there's not enough time in our lives to appreciate it all.

I think I heard about Zola Jesus through a review of her latest album 'Okovi'.
Just getting to listen to it now - OMFG!
Love this track, but some of the others sound more like NIN meet Sheila Chandra after a night on the piss - what a voice.
