@hingehead,
That Willis Alan Ramsey album is damn fine. My circle of friends played the hell out of it and I even went to see him at a place called The Cellar Door in Wash. DC.
Very unappreciated solo singer.

I think Jimmy Buffett covered Ballad Of Spider John.

This just came up on random - sounds like David Bowie (musically, not vocally) time travelled to 2001 sometime between Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane. I say, yet again, how did I never hear this when it came out?

@djjd62,
I've got the that four disc stiff set, tho Otway track is on disc three if anyone's interested.

If it aint stiff, it aint worth a ****.

What's your favourite obscure stiff track deej? I remember having my eyes opened in 77/78 by Wreckless Eric's Whole Wide World

@hingehead,
i had the box set (one of my regret trade ins, but cest la vie), loved this tune

Whole Wide World used to make it onto a lot of mix tapes/cd's, as did I Knew The Bride from the Live Stiffs lp

@djjd62,
Great pick Deej - that is a really cool obscure song - reminds of casual sex (long story).

If you like a bit of new agey chillout search google for 'tunguska chillout grooves' on the Jamendo net label, creative commons licenced (i.e. free and legal). I'm finding the work of Aleksey Chistilin very tasteful

If you havnet heard this before Its worth a listen. the sound coming from his mouth is weirdly haunting.
The really weird harmonics gets started at around 20 seconds so give him a chance.

Tuvan throat singing.

Another new wave/80s track that I would probably have liked if I'd ever heard it at the time....
