For the good of spam receivers everywhere...
I'd like to be able to export my list of known spam servers (approx. 1000 or more) that reside in my Outlook 2000 junk senders list to a file which can then be sent, merged, edited, and reintroduced on other systems. This would make it possible to create a DB of addresses that people could download and merge with their existing junk senders lists and greatly enhance the blocklisting portion of an anti-spam defence.
So I guess the question is: Is the junk senders (and adult content) list inside of the Rules Wizard File (.rwz) or inside the Outlook Folders File (.pst) and are there programs out there that can read and edit them in a plain-text kind of environment?
I believe that
Spamcop already provides this service.
I'm sure that certain programs do already provide this 'universal blacklist' service, but if it were possible to see and edit these addresses on our own with some open-source editor there would be no need to run third-party programs on our systems. I've run spamcop before and it significantly increased the load times for MS Outlook and decreased system stability. I'm sure later versions run better, but the fewer programs I have starting on my system, the better the system runs, and that goes for everybody.
We become so dependant on the package solution which may produce great good, but I don't want or need all the extra baggage if at all possible.
Of all my addy's Yahoo! is the worst offender. The others receive practically nil.
