@Telamon,
That only strengthens my point...The police man is not very smart because he has a son.

So are you implying a rather callous generalization that all police officers with sons are idiots? A bit on the erroneous side don’t you think?

Personally, I think everyone who marries is stupid, and I am erroneous.

Wait, so let me get this correct. According to you and fellow enthusiast djjd62, anyone who marries or has a child is by definition “stupid”. I assume you are using the word in its meaning of “tediously dull, esp. due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless”, please correct me if mistaken. The logic in this train of thought is nonetheless lost to me, particularly when generalized in this fashion.

@Telamon,
i'm sure marriage is fine for the people that want to do it, i just think it's stupid, like golf and watching american idol

back in the days of clinton and don't ask, don't tell, the late comedian bill hicks had a routine about gays in the military

his take on it, "anybody dumb enough to want to join the army, regardless of sexual orientation, should be allowed to"

i feel the same way about marriage (of any variety)

All are inclined to their own opinions, however regrettably closed-minded or misinformed they are. (not implying anyone in particular, just saying it on a general scope)

I like to be earnest; sincere; not trifling? To be seen as showing, or characterized by deep thought? Or maybe you mean I have a grave/somber disposition, character, and/or manner? I guess I’m giving cause for apprehension and being critical. My apologies for making light of your comment.
