Adds, do you know how many hours overall I've stared at google maps in tiny print trying to find new places starting with x? y is a little easier. Then looking up the tiny place on Images and finding either zilch or very mistaken or super copyrighted stuff? (Not that we have to give images, but I like the adding.) Well, maybe you do, and I'm not exactly complaining, it's part of my fun. But.... there may be a psychological component to my skipping. Call it Dread of X.

I stop here to make a little homage to Franco Francia, who was mayor of Nonantola in the post-war years.
He was a landless peasant, self-instructed. He joined the Communist Party during Fascism, was part of the resistance against nazi occupation, and led his town into modernity for over 15 years.
When he left office, his savings were good enough to buy a newspaper stand in Modena, and a small appartment in a working-class neighborhood.
He was the father of my good friend Claudio.
