@fbaezer,
I get your aggravation. I've admitted to myself we can have more than one photo of Rome (don't get me started, as I don't think I've even posted one, though maybe). We will eventually run out of U's. Not yet, though. But I can also see exploring places some of our posters know more than once.

Back later if U is still up for grabs.

I have to get more organized.
I search in my own way and find a place and then see the thread is letters past that.
If I had any brains, I'd save those places, but by then Im tired of it, not the place, but the activity.

@hamburgboy,
I remember about Ypres. But not enough, will have to look it up again.
Hell of a photo.

My uncle was mustard gassed, an american. I never knew much more about his experience in the war. I remember him as the nice man who showed me how to make peach ice cream in Oklahoma when I was three or four, and died shortly thereafter, maybe early '45. Interesting guy, quite the southwest explorer.

I read a bunch of his book collection some time later.
He did come back after the war and get very involved re aircraft. Head of tool and dye or something like that at Douglas in WWII. (I know he worked out of Santa Monica, visited Wichita, Oklahoma City).
I still have his home tool chest.
