If this link works for you, I'm suggesting the John Prine & Bonnie Raitt duo of "Make me an angel flying from Montgomery", its a little mellow in an imperfect way. The song I recommend is the second one listed, not the metallica link.

I'll take your word for it. I really didn't pay much attention to their voices.

@CalamityJane,
It's a great collective of musicians.

They've taken on a lot of interesting old styles and really made them their own.

Watching and listening to Dan Rather on 'The Big Interview' interviewing Heart, the Wilson sisters. Love them, their singing and their musicianship. Their personal stories are fascinating.

This is one of my fave versions (beside the original) of this great song and live performance. Years ago, I dismissed some of their wok as having too much of a pop sheen to it, but now looking back I feel I was misguided.

Its distinguished because it's an acoustic version and is accompanied buy a masterly and tasteful orchestral touches. I really love the lyrics, too. I think Annie Wilson has the greatest singing voice... bar none (sigh)

@Region Philbis,
No doubt it'll become a drinking anthem for many...but I expect every alcoholic knows that moment.

Kicking tune. Great video.

@panzade,
They're great. I got to see them this summer at the Greenbelt Harvest Picnic (it's in Hamilton, On to raise money and awareness for the Christie Lake Conservation Area). Beautiful spot, local farmers and artisans...incredible music

The whole line up was fabulous…. wonderful day

I bought 5 CDs lol and a bunch of honey Smile

@layman,
I believe that's the soundtrack from This Town Party video

Cochran's revered in the UK but not so much in the US.

Fats Domino's version is too Blueberry Hillish for my tastes.

Here's an appreciation of Cochran's guitar magic. A bit technical, but guitarists should enjoy it.
