when i was 12 I joined the Capitol record cub..this was my first lp

I got to see Mr Dale one night in Springfield Mo, fairly small bar...it was so loud...with his style of playing it just cut to the bone...awesome. Afterwards he did a meet and greet...signed autographs and such...I had him sign a cd, I didn't have any of my albums with me, but there were several people that had them.

I have shaken the hand that makes all those twangy sounds come to life....if I could only meet Duane Eddy....

been listening to Springsteen's "Magic," and his 56 "B-side" song set "Tracks."

first time i heard him was early october '74 at the main point in bryn mayr pa, the bar/club held only about 100- 150 people, and i was so close i had my feet resting on the stage...where he did "Thundercrack," which is on "Tracks.

never been the same after that day. it was like getting shocked into being by lightening or seeing jesus with a telecaster. i've been to 67 grateful dead shows but nothing beat that night for feeling like being alive and knowing it.

my girl friend hated the show and i stopped dating her as soon as i dropped her off at the dorm with out a goodnight kiss, it was like "bruce or you?"...."sorry babe, see you down the road!"
