Laughing another good one TTH- I'm not a huge Cher fan, but you gotta give it to her on this one I think.

I'm listening to my own personal country compilation cd-right now
Red Dirt Road
by Brooks and Dunne.

I'd never seen the video before today when I found the song on youtube- but I kind of like it- the church, the lake, the baptism- I thought the blond girl's smile was kind of nice- and I always get a kick out of that rock star intense expression the dark-haired guy (Kix) puts on when he's got a guitar solo- it's sort of cheesy and endearing- as Ronnie is with his blow dried hair and tight jeans with cowboy boots

I like their melodies and harmonies-they just make me smile.

Now I'm listening to Brooks and Dunn- Brand New Man- I'm putting them on my mp3 player.
(This one has a crazy dramatic dancing chick)

I like that video and even though I am not a huge country fan I do like their songs. Uh, the crazy dramatic dancing chick kinda reminds me of me. Embarrassed
I will go out on a dance floor by myself and just have a good time. I don't even drink btw

Still my favorite and probably always will be probably since I met them and they are a riot Laughing Laughing Laughing
I haven't timed it but it takes about 20 seconds to load.

Was just listening to (and watching) a brilliant mashup of that popular Gnarls Barkley tune and the Avalenches' "Frontier Psychiatrist" on youtube. Now listening to CCR (Bootleg -- "take you a glass of water / make it against the law / see how good the water tastes / when you can't have any at all").

And now it's Nada Surf -- which makes me ask myself -- am I going to change it?

Maybe I'm Amazed - Paul McCartney

What a powerful song. The New Yorker magazine(of all places) has a great article in the current edition about the life of McCartney.
Apparently he wrote this song when the Beatles were breaking up and he was sliding into a deep depression. Most of his life had been spent writing songs with John Lennon and he couldn't bear the thought of going on his own. Then he met Linda Eastman and her strength and support literally saved him. Somehow the song mirrors his relief
