Kurt Elling Live in Chicago. Right now he's doing a duet with Jon Hendricks. Other guest artists on the CD include Kahil El'Zabar on hand drums. Great disc.

If you were gonna be there in October <sob> you could see him in action. It's a treat.
Someday, Ed, someday.
I know that I'm loving it cuz I've heard those voices in person - hearing them cold must be another kinda fun.

I'm thinking it's like the happy I got from hearing your music - and then talking to you.
That's so FUN! I was trying to get Bear to start a net radio back at the beginning of the year. Not that complicated now with all the tech stuff available. Can even do live with video, which I thought would have been fun.
Yeah, it's always cool to hear A2Ker voices.
Kicky sounds younger than I expected! Guess I figured with all that smokin' he'd have a little more of a growl.
I want to be there so bad <WAAAAAH!> Maybe in the Spring. I also want to get to Tranna sometime.

Bantock is a recent discovery for me but listening to the former and Copeland's Rodeo I hear a lot of familiar sounds, but perhaps it's just me. Bantock's tempo is more laid back where as Copeland's is necessarily energized to represent the raw spirit, hope, and immediacy needed to settle the American West. But Bantock does employ the use of the harp often and beautifully.
