The Minutemen! I should dig out their CD.
I just bought 3 CDs. One of them was Devils and Dust. I have to say, I am not thrilled.
Nothing compares to you
Shinad O'Conner (sp?)
Bonnie Raitt's "Luck of the Draw"
Ry Cooder "Try Me Tonight". Got it on tape long ago. One cut, taped over and over and over...
total silence..all the kids are gone and hubby isn't home yet..so what you say? I have 10 kids. Do you have any idea how long its been since they were ALL gone at the same time???
Now I'm gonna turn on my Chieftains music and listen to The Wabash Cannonball..as loud as I want ;0)
Don't remember Panzade but I will look it up cause I want to download it. All I recall is his background singers were an old gospel group, The Swan Silvertones, The Dixie Hummingbirds, one of that genre. Good ol' time gospel music that my sweet mother used to listen to.
I'm listening to a lecture on international law - my gosh, the uni semester really has kicked off
10 kids, my goodness.
That does call for the Chieftains...
(I'll put them on too, in your honor, or memory, Vicki! Nice and loud.)
Ten kids. Good luck to you my sister. Enjoy your silence.
Panzade, that Ry Cooder song, actually entitled "Why Don't You Try Me" is from his Borderline album from 1988. My brother had this album. I recognized the cover immediately.
Downloading tomorrow.
