Volume 2 of Trainspotting soundtrack

Choose life.
Choose a job.
Choose a career.
Choose a family,
Choose a f*cking big television
Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers.
Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance.
Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments.
Choose a starter home.
Choose your friends.
Choose leisure wear and matching luggage.
Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of f*cking fabrics.
Choose DIY and wondering who you are on a Sunday morning.
Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing sprit-crushing game shows
Stuffing f*cking junk food into your mouth.
Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing you last in a miserable home
Nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, f*cked-up brats
You have spawned to replace yourself.
Choose your future. Choose life.

I chose not to choose life, I chose something else....

A great 'I just handed in my resignation' song

Some people say a man is made outta mud
A poor man's made outta muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and skin and bones
A mind that's a-weak and a back that's strong

You load sixteen tons, what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store

yea hinge, one of my favorite Steve Earle

A Colin Hay CD I payed $10 for at my local bargain shop a while ago. Very Happy But I've grown to LOVE it! Live/accoustic. Tales of travel, Melbourne, love, passion, Scotland .... very nice. I keep coming back to it.

(Congratulations on handing in your notice, hinge. Have a drink on me! Very Happy )

Well there's floodin' down in Texas
All of the telephone lines are down
Well there's floodin' down in Texas
All of the telephone lines are down
And I've been tryin' to call my baby
Lord and I can't get a single sound

CJHSA - Thanks for Dirty Deeds

D'artagnan - I think that Viv Stanshall must be the voice that does the tour of the English stately home on side 2 of the original Tubular Bells. I've only just bought this Bonzo album, I'd only ever read about them - they really are very silly.

I've been listening to this all week.

Quote:

Faint Hope

Why did Laurence Stocking die? That's just one of the questions explored in Faint Hope, a ground-breaking docu-drama that explores the story of Laurence Stocking, a prison inmate who died under controversial circumstances at Millhaven Institution in 1998. Stocking was a drug addict
who had become a well-known and highly regarded advocate for
prisoner rights. But shortly after he talked to a CBC reporter, Stocking was sent back to Millhaven, where he died of an apparent overdose in 1998. Hear Laurence Stocking's story brought to life, all this week, in Faint Hope.
