How much time is left on the warranty? What does the warranty cover?

I would do it, but it depends on your priorities.

I would call the store and ask them how you are supposed to handle the situation. It seems to me they could walk you through it if the warranty is supposed to last a certain length of time. Can't let them get away with that loophole. Can you peel the warranty off and keep it in one piece?

Seems like Catch-22 is alive and well . .

I also would recommend talking to the store where you bought it. Can't hurt, might help.

Or, as a last resort, you might try contacting the manufacturer for a statement on their returns policy.
