You are correct, 49 to 48 is a simple majority. The headline leads one to believe the difference is much greater. In my opinion, this topic is irrelevant. How will it protect our borders and end government waste..?

Our nation is rather dependent on future generations being properly educated. I'm sorry, I really am... but the mechanics of biological evolution are fact. They are to the point that they are part of the foundations of modern medicine and agriculture.

Doubting a scientific cornerstone because of dogmatic principles is damaging to this country.

no it's 31% for republicans and 61% for independents, that's a rather substantial difference.
