@Silverchild79,
Yeah.....Imus got carried away with his 'tough-guy' talk and image. This is what happens when people create false egos they have to feed constantly. I work next a guy who lives the same kind of nightmare, and he's always stepping on his schlong, trying to be someone he isn't. :headbang:

@Silverchild79,
I never liked the shows like Imus and Stern , mostly due to the massive ego trips they are known for .

@Silverchild79,
This case doesn't really interest me. I would rather have to read about every bombing in Iraq, which is pretty easy considering all the media coverage, than read about all the celebrity news lately.

@Silverchild79,
What a coward, too. He suddenly gave up wearing that rowdy cowboy hat of his. What gives, Imus? What.....you're HUMBLE now that your huevos are sizzling on the grittle?

@Silverchild79,
Now that he's been CANNED, the rowdy cowboy hat is back. Ha. I predict he'll be working again within a month. His ratings are going to sky-rocket now, big time. :headbang:

@Silverchild79,
Loud mouths like him always land on their feet, eventually. I don't like to listen to pontificating idiots, excluding baby sister but she's family.

I'd like to hear him now, just for a few minutes. He's gotta be madder than hell. Ha.:mebeer:

I know I'm going to regret asking but I've been curios since you posted this ...how does this guy step on his schlong trying to be something he is not

@Silverchild79,
What he wants to be doesn't match with what he is, professionally speaking. This conflict troubles him, and gets him into trouble rather often. I can relate. I did something myself I wasn't meant to do for many years.:dunno:

@Silverchild79,
I think it's hard to not succumb to cognitive dissonance. We live in a world that's so complicated, it's virtually impossible to not compromise your ideals at some point.

@Silverchild79,
yeah thats true at some point we all, or I think we all, have to accept that modern life is not harmonius and the things we take for granted as given truth about the world, ourselves and our place in it is constantly changing ....it is more important than ever to know who you are...as a individual and not identify your self worth to much with a given thing, job, regional culture, lifestyle etc etc etc.....
