The sky is falling!

I wonder if it did land on solid ground how important it would be for the US government to get to it before anyone else. If there is a chance that someone else could access it and see how it is built that kind of thing. Good thing Earth is largely made up of water so the chance of it hitting dry land is pretty slim.
