I don't get it. A man walks on four legs in the morning? 3 in the afternoon and 2 at night?

Maybe the riddle should read "moves" instead of walks.
What moves on four in the morning,two in the afternoon,and three at night?

Man moves/crawls on all fours in the morning,moves/walks on two legs in the afternoon,and moves/totters on two legs & a cane at night.

No that still doesn't make sense. My Daddy walks on two legs in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night.

The morning,afternoon and night of the riddle refer to different stages of life (infancy,early adulthood and old age).
Infancy (crawling on hands & knees),early adulthood (walking upright) and old age(walking with the use of a walking stick.)

OHHHHH!!!

I know the answer one is baby, the first is four- baby two- adult and three is an old person cause they might have to use a cane.
