@RexRed,
Here's a bit of Virgil for you Rex--

Quote:
So all things are fated

to slide towards the worst, and revert by slipping back:

just as if one who can hardly drive his boat with oars

against the stream, should slacken his arms,

and the channel sweep it away downstream.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT: A mere 2 months after the Dan River coal ash disaster, Duke Energy has been caught pumping toxic wastewater from a toxic coal ash pond into the nearby Cape Fear River. The Cape Fear River is a source of public drinking water for many nearby towns.

Yesterday a crude oil pipeline spilled 10,000 gallons of oil into an Ohio nature preserve. Read more about the spill here: http://bit.ly/1eWpzXC

And they want to build more pipelines for even dirtier fuel?

This is negligence and charges should be levied...

SO MUCH FOR "OUR" ENERGY INDEPENDENCE: Residents of California recently joined other communities in New York, Washington and Maryland in rejecting the construction of large, dirty fuel export facilities. People are starting to realize that the coal, oil, and gas industry's claim of securing "our" energy independence is really more about securing overseas demand for their dirty fuels. http://ow.ly/uLm1h
Coal sales have slumped in the US and orders for new plants are being cancelled at an increasing rate, but rather than slow down its mining operations, the coal industry is looking to emerging economies like China and India to offload its product. Meanwhile, the oil and gas industry, faced with a fracking-induced surplus, is using export facilities to ship their fuels overseas.
Click LIKE or SHARE if you agree exporting all our fossil fuels is not helping our energy independence. TELL US >> Has your community battled with export facilities or railways carrying fossil fuels?

►Keep the Arctic safe from oil drilling! http://bit.ly/1eH7Kzi

The Exxon Valdez oil spill has been known as “the day the water died." Orcas, otters, and other species that were affected by the oil spill have not yet recovered, even 25 years later.

And oil spills keep happening. Just 3 days ago, a barge in Galveston, TX spilled as much as 170,000 gallons of oil near a bird refuge. A spill like these would be nearly impossible to clean up in the Arctic.

►Take action now to ask President Obama to stop Shell from drilling in the Arctic: http://bit.ly/1eH7Kzi
