I've been playing for fifty years
You know
my instrument-all worn out
Life is
the same when I repeat each day
More than
content, I am good,
A job,
Fingers bleed on piano keys
Fingers bleed on daily routines
- You know life is more than a job
@mister kitten,
Life is even better than a musical scene.
@mister kitten,
mister kitten, you are a very ooold soul!
@mister kitten,
Awesome poem. I wish I could play the piano.

Life>death.

You make me smile, salima.

Me too. But not as a job. There's contrast in the poem between a piano player playing piano every day and a person going to job every day. Maybe this would fit more appropriately in the Existentialist poems thread.
@mister kitten,
Great poem! Also, as a piano enthusiast, you may really appreciate this clip from the the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition of Nobuyuki Tsujii playing "The Little Bell." Excellent performance and good news is he won first place. Oh, and doubling the awesomeness of the performance is the fact that he is blind. One of my favorite piano tunes. Enjoy!

I like it. It rings true with me.
