Minor
I'll adjust to the climate
as my face turns pink
and to myself, I think
"with all these faces starring at me
I might very well go pee"
The blood inside me
sinks to two feet
as they hit the floor
and a crowd wants more
more of, I don't know
maybe a good show
but they'll clap at most anything
even if no one does a sing
It's warmer on stage
than in my chair
without much care
I receive an air
of CONGRATULATIONS
thank you, thank you
one and all
You know now
I feel so high and tall,
but I'll adjust.
Kid
I'm a cowboy in space
living in a cardboard station
I laugh and play
almost everyday
crayons in my pocket
and a little toy rocket
Nap time,
bed rhymes,
silly cartoons,
red balloons,
bubbles and baths,
secret forest paths,
and all our little plays.
Man, I'll miss these days.
