Amazing! John the Baptist looks like he was having a casual smoke when he bit the dust!

Seems more like he was fed to the lions, or had a fight at the coliseum and lost. Wink

c.i.: You've been to Istanbul? How come you didn't recognize the pic? Smile

Gee, I think it would be easier to ask where you haven't been! I'd like to see your passport(s). Lotsa stamps! In Canada, our passport is good for 5 years. Is it the same in the U.S.?

Certainly is a small world! Interesting how that stuff works. Smile

caprice, Istanbul is quite a big city. Most people go to see the "good" stuff, and not buildings that are common in this world. Wink US passports are good for ten years. It originally has 25 pages, but I had to have pages added to mine, so I now have pages A through X (not Z). I have 87 stamps and visas in my passport.

Wow...I would love to have even half that many stamps in my passport!

Last year the Canadian government in its infinite wisdom *snort* changed the photo requirements. You are no longer allowed to smile. Sheesh! There are also different categories of passports. The "regular" passport has 24 pages. Then there is the "Frequent Traveller Passport" which contains 48 pages. Of course it costs $5 more. I can't believe how expensive they have gotten though! Mine expires this June. I think it cost $60 when I got it. Now it costs $85! They've made a lot of security changes to the passport so I imagine that's why the cost has increased.

Mine expires in August 2006, but I'm not sure how much it costs to replace it.

It's $55. Smile

I didn't investigate, but from what I read on the above page it sounds as if you can just renew your passport? Must be nice! Here you have to apply as if you had never had a passport before. You have to do the entire process.

Uhm....what about fealola's guess. China? Smile
