We don't beg to differ - it's just incorrect.

If you wish to consider Oceania as a continent (which it isn't) - well OK - sorta.

But New Zealand is not part of Australia. We were all part of the greater Gondawanaland, eons back.

Ignorance in the northern hemisphere of the southern hemisphere fascinates me.

There's also a difference between impressions and factual knowledge. To call it "ignorance" is unfair on the face of it, and to insult everybody that lives in the northern hemisphere is a topic I wouldn't even broach.

They are separate countries....but part of the same continent
This is a fact, not a statement born of ignorance. Differences in culture and opinion do not separate a continent :-)
